Totally Bishy!

Another mini addition to my Manga shader; shadow emphasis.

I noticed quite a few western comics like to black in their shadows, even when they’re coloured. This includes many golden age comics. The way I had set up the basic colouring features didn’t make this possible, so I instead added in yet ANOTHER shadow layer (four now). This shadow layer will always render as a flat colour (not screentone), always sharp (no gradient effect), and always the same colour as the outline.

Please note this is purely for golden age renders, not Noir renders. For Noir renders, I recommend my Visual Style shaders at the Daz 3D store (free Noir presets included).

For now, here’s a sexy render of Gambit from the X-men (moar leik the SEX-men amirite?), showing off the shadow emphasis.
